About the deck

Merfolk, blue-green. Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca taps the other merfolk for value:
- 1 merfolk: Kumena is unblockable.
- 3 merfolk: draw a card.
- 5 merfolk: a +1/+1 counter on every merfolk.
- Engine: tap merfolk for Kumena, untap them (Murkfiend Liege, Kiora's Follower, Dramatic Reversal) and tap them again. Deeproot Pilgrimage makes a new merfolk every time they get tapped.

Chaos card: Intruder Alarm. No creature untaps normally anymore, but whenever any creature enters, all creatures untap.
- ⚠️ Infinite combo: Kumena + Deeproot Pilgrimage + Intruder Alarm gives infinite cards, tokens and counters. It needs all three pieces on the battlefield, so it comes up rarely, but it makes the deck Bracket 3.
- The blue part: counterspells and bounce. The only one of my decks that can say "no" to a board wipe.
- Pig joke: Curse of the Swine turns their creatures into Boars 🐷.
Gameplan
- Go wide: Deeproot Waters, Aquatic Incursion, Jungleborn Pioneer and Deeproot Pilgrimage.
- Lords & anthems: Vanquisher's Banner (also draws a card per merfolk cast), Door of Destinies, Merfolk Mistbinder, Master of the Pearl Trident, Lord of Atlantis, Vodalian Hexcatcher, Coralhelm Commander.
- Counters: Hardened Scales, Simic Ascendancy, Benthic Biomancer, Hadana's Climb.
- Win: a wide, pumped team, mostly unblockable. Herald of Secret Streams makes every merfolk with a +1/+1 counter unblockable, and Kumena's 5-tap gives all of them one.
- Interaction: Counterspell, Negate, Spell Pierce, Rapid Hybridization, Reality Shift, Aetherize, Wrap in Vigor.
Weaknesses
- Small bodies, so board wipes hurt. Hold back a counterspell.

How hard is it to play? Lots of tapping and untapping to plan each turn, counterspells to hold up at the right moment, and Intruder Alarm loops to keep track of.

Lands: 36 lands + 5 ramp (3 mana rocks, 2 land spells). 74% of opening hands have 2–4 lands (2: 30%, 3: 29%, 4: 16%). Chance to have 3 lands by turn 3: 70%, 4 by turn 4: 53%, 5 by turn 5: 36% (going first, no mulligan).
