About the deck
- Naya Dinosaurs. Kinjalli's Caller, Marauding Raptor and Knight of the Stampede make Dinosaurs cheaper, so the big ones come down early.
- Enrage: Polyraptor makes a copy of itself whenever it's dealt damage, Ripjaw Raptor draws a card, Siegehorn Ceratops grows, Stalwart Speartail pumps the other Dinosaurs.
- The Polyraptor engine: Forerunner of the Empire finds a Dinosaur and may deal 1 damage to every creature whenever a Dinosaur enters; with Polyraptor out, that makes as many Polyraptors as I want.
Gameplan
- Turn 1–2: Kinjalli's Caller, Marauding Raptor, Siegehorn Ceratops.
- Turn 3–4: Atzocan Seer, Ripjaw Raptor, Forerunner of the Empire fetching Polyraptor; Commune with Dinosaurs digs for more.
- Removal: Savage Stomp (cheap when a Dinosaur fights), Summary Judgment.
- Win: a board of Polyraptors, or Huatli, Warrior Poet making Dinosaur tokens.
- Sideboard (best of three): Gishath, Sun's Avatar, Burning Sun's Avatar, Needletooth Raptor, Raptor Hatchling, Kabira Takedown.
Weaknesses
- ⚠️ Marauding Raptor + Polyraptor is a draw: the Raptor damages every creature that enters, and the copy makes another copy. Neither trigger is optional, so the loop never ends, and an endless loop no one can stop ends the game in a draw. With both on the battlefield, don't let a Polyraptor enter; use Forerunner of the Empire for the engine instead.
- Few answers: two removal spells in the main deck.
- Polyraptor costs eight without the cost reducers.
