Baneslayer Angel
DE Bannender EngelJP 悪斬の天使

About the deck
- White-black lifegain. Every bit of life gained pays off: Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose makes the opponent lose the same amount, Ajani's Pridemate grows, and Indulging Patrician, Griffin Aerie, Lone Rider and Silversmote Ghoul reward gaining 3 or more life in a turn.
- Lots of small lifegain: Ajani's Welcome (1 life per creature), Revitalize, Light of Hope, Faith's Fetters, Erebos's Intervention, Unexpected Fangs, and the Food from Bake into a Pie.
- Big payoffs: Baneslayer Angel, Clackbridge Troll, and Speaker of the Heavens making 4/4 Angels once I'm 7 life above my starting life.
Gameplan
- Early: Ajani's Pridemate, Speaker of the Heavens, Ajani's Welcome, Lone Rider.
- Midgame: Vito and Indulging Patrician: every life gained now drains the opponent.
- Removal: Bake into a Pie, Erebos's Intervention, Faith's Fetters.
- Win: a drain loop (Ajani's Welcome + Vito), Vito giving the whole team lifelink, or Baneslayer Angel in the air.
- Sideboard (best of three): Shadowspear, Anointed Chorister, Celestial Unicorn, Ajani's Last Stand.
Weaknesses
- "Players can't gain life" effects shut the whole deck off.
- Small creatures: board wipes hurt.
- Little card draw: Revitalize is the only real source.
